Beginning this year, NLeSC will sponsor and coordinate an eScience prize to be awarded to a young scientist demonstrating excellence in the development or application of eScience approaches to address scientific challenges. The award will be judged on both track record solving domain challenges using eScience approaches and the candidates idea for a novel NLeSC path-finding project.
The prize, awarded to a young scientist based at a Dutch University or Knowledge Institute, will be a 40Keuro in kind award of eScience research engineer hours and 10Keuro for travel costs, to undertake their path-finding project idea.
All the details can be found here: https://www.esciencecenter.nl/young-escientist-award
Perhaps you have a group member or colleague that would fit the criteria and would like to work with NLeSC to solve a scientific challenge? If so, could you please share this mail with them. We are accepting applications until September 1st.
