On 23 March, the structured data team of CLARIAH is organizing a sounding board meeting for the community.
This is the last of our ‘Sounding Board’ meetings, where we would like to demonstrate the tools and data we have developed over the past 3.5 years. We will demonstrate Druid, an environment where you can upload files, turn them into Linked Data using a CoW and spice that data up with other Linked Data using a dash of g(a)rl(i)c. Specifically, we will show how historical datasets, now often living in isolation, can be connected.
We have held two of these meetings early on in the project in which we received valuable feedback. We would like to show how we have incorporated that feedback, but will also provide the opportunity for finetuning remarks. With the ‘production’ ending in June, we have 6 more months to iron out the wrinkles!
The meeting is specifically aimed towards scholars of substantive fields, such as history, demography, sociology and aims for a non-technical presentation of our tools. We hope you will join us!
