10.00-17.00u, 20 June 2017, Rotterdam

Scientific Visualization: From Archaeology to Astronomy is a one-day event where scientists and researchers from different disciplines meet to discover how visualization technologies impact scientific research.

The event will feature nine speakers showcasing (the application of) scientific visualization in different fields.

Why visualisation is important fo researchers

Scientific visualization affects all research disciplines. Understanding our past, dealing with the challenges of climate change, discovering dark matter, and analysing human behaviour are all areas where scientific visualisation is applied to gain scientific insight.

Program

Visualization technologies used in one discipline can be applicable in other disciplines. This event will be of interest for researchers from all disciplines – from the humanities to astronomy and beyond.

Further details about the programme and the location, including how to register, can be found on the Netherlands eScience Center website.
