DH Benelux 2017 Call for Papers still open

Deadline for abstracts extended until 5 March 2017

The fourth DHBenelux Conference will take place in Utrecht, the Netherlands, from Monday 3 to Wednesday 5 July 2017. The conference will be hosted by Utrecht University and is open to everyone, including researchers from outside the Benelux.

Submissions invited on following topics:

  • Application of digital technology in literary, linguistic, cultural, and historical studies
  • Exploration and analysis of multimedia resources
  • Text mining and image mining (e.g. stylometry, topic modelling, sentiment mining)
  • Digital media, digitization, curation of digital objects
  • Software development, systems design and information modelling
  • Interfaces, augmented reality, serious gaming
  • Design and application of algorithms
  • Infrastructures and virtual research environments
  • Ethnography and user studies
  • Critical study of digital arts, architecture, music, film, theatre, new media, video games
  • Ethical, social and economic aspects of digitality and digital humanities
  • Didactics of digital humanities

Abstracts for individual presentations, panels, demonstrations and posters are welcome.

Abstracts in any of the Benelux languages are welcome.
